4 by Poe

Project: Four fully illustrated short stories by Edgar Allan Poe, each published as individual limited-edition softcover volumes. Readers could either subscribe to the quarterly series or collect individual issues. And each delivery was a surprise – subscribers never knew which story was being published next.

The display type is Tamerlane, a bespoke font based on the frontispiece of Poe’s first published work. It was designed and developed exclusively for this project.

The series was printed in Massachusetts on SFI-certified paper using a digital offset press.
